4. Your domain name is shown to the right of the @ symbol, so you only need to specify the desired name for the mailbox.

This can be, for example, your first name and last name separated by a dot, a department name, or any other word comprised of alphanumeric characters. The name should be short enough to remember. Due to software based limitations the word should only contain the following alphanumeric (a, b, c, 1, 2, 3), dash, dot or underscore symbols. (Please note spaces are not allowed when creating an email account, neither are $%#&* as these are reserved wildcard characters)

5. Specify a password that you will use for accessing your mailbox. One way to do this is to use a secure password generator, however, feel free to simply make one up. Remember that this password will be required when setting up the email client later on and as such should be written down or memorable for the time being. In this example we have used LastPass Password Generator to generate a secure password.

3. Type the left part of the e-mail address before the @ symbol, and, if you have several domain names on your account, select the domain name under which the e-mail address will be created.

Leave the Mailbox checkbox selected.

You would clear this checkbox only if you want to use this address as a mail forwarder, which will forward all incoming mail to another address.

4. Specify a password consisting of five or more alphanumeric/symbolic characters. NOTE: the password will need to be strong, meaning, it will need to have 8 characters or more and include capitals, numbers, and special characters (eg, cU05#5Kmm)

One way to do this use a secure password generator. In  this example we have uses LastPass.
